After almost 40 days of filing, here is an email I got....nothing of substance :mad:
We have requested an appointment be scheduled for you to complete biometrics. A notice will be sent when a time becomes available.
If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved, please complete a Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form. If you do not have this form, you can download it from our website or you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. If you move, please call us with your new address information as soon as your move is complete. If you have already called us and given us this information, you do not need to call again.

What address did you use to send the I-485 using FedEx or UPS?
I sent it to the PO Box address:

I did not know that FedEx/UPS could deliver to PO boxes and that you would have a person receiving and signing for it???

For your Information India's GDP is 3 trillion USD compare to Mexico 1 trillion USD. Taking into account GDP of EU India ranks 5th in GDP higher than any indivisual European nation where as Mexico ranks 13th. This is as per CIA worldfactbook. So where did you get the number

To begin with, this is not the place for me to explain to you the details of difference between Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) GDP (that you quote) and the market exchange rate GDP which I quoted. But since you raised the subject, PPP GDP is adjusted to accomodate for different inflation and consumption rates in different countries. Without the PPT adjustment, India's GDP is equal to Mexico's, even though India has 11 times the population of Mexico. The reason India comes in 4th with the PPP adjustment in the world is because the ruppee is undervalued and Indians have a purchasing power that is 4 times smaller than Mexicans. So, to humor you and use your method of calculation, the Per Capita GDP (PPP) Of India is $3,344 in 2006 and Mexico's is $12,886. "Where are all the Mexican doctores, computer scientists, economists and professors?" you ask. The answer is: They are IN MEXICO making huge salaries, when the Indian ones have to come here because their salaries in India don't give them enough money to eat. Why aren't all the construction workers and lawn workers in the U.S. Indian? Because they cannot affor the airfare. The Mexicans just walk accross the border. Any you know what? All those Indian Professors at Harvard etc are teaching class to all those rich Mexican kids. Get your facts straight before you confront me and make fun of my MBA (which I got in the U.S. incidentally, not Mexico, but if I had wanted I could have gotten a top 20 MBA back home). I just recated to people's racist attacks here. So now, if you have anything to contribute to our IV common cause, welcome! The thing is that I feel bad for IV when people start screaming and yelling at them. IV is not responsible for passing these legislation. They don't even realize that if there was no IV, July fiasco would have resulted in lot of people not getting their 485 filed. So many people would have so far not been able to use AC21 and change jobs. They are just sitting and posting out their suggestions. IV needs members who can help them in their cause and strengthen the organization. They have no right to yell or scream despite not even contributing a single minute to the cause. I still believe that we better have couple of members who we know and can count to volunteer rather than a blog where people throw fancy suggestions and vent out. That is the reason for me being advocating for paid site. If not paid, then activate membership through state chapters. Have state leadership activate their membership based on their contribution for this blog. At least we know that they are contributing to the cause by money or time. I am seriously disgusted by seeing so many irrelevant postings on this site which has nothing to do with immigration and people spending hours blogging, rather than contributing couple of minutes with their state chapters.

If skill bill is passed in the same form as it is Americans will be alarmed seeing the inflow based on exemption of US based Master degree and STEM. Not only to Americans it is threat for current H1s and green card holders as well. The problem is those who have money in India can get admission in USA MS degree in any non standard college(I do not think INS can evaluate whether it is standard or not). So atleast 4 times of current MS students will come and they will get h1(I think Ms people has exemption in quota) thro Desi consultants by paying Money and get green card immeditely. This will defeat the purpose of skill bill itself. And also India so many people are doing MSC they can get gc easily here(As we know Indians or anyone will use loopholes to come here and get gc). If immigration is increased so much then it will impact all kinds of exsisting people. I think there should be control in number of h1s and also green cards. I am clear that both H1 and green card numbers should be increased but blanket exemption should not be given any category especially for H1. There were a situation on 2000 and 2001 lot of people returned India because of too much supply and Americans were angry with immigrants at that time especially H1 because they were laid off.
So basically increase of immigration should be based on supply and demand . The purpose of Labour certification is to verify whether any american is rejected for that job. But that is now just formal and real test is not done(it is not possible to do it. If they do it it will take years to clear). I think if they double number of gcs the retrogession issue will be resolved for atleast another 5 years

GC Visa's are per country per year, where as H1's are not per country based, we indians used most H1's and stood in queue for GC's of course there is path so we stood, in fact it is one attraction they used to bring over here, to start with, per country GC visa limit is a poor thought.
GC quota should be better tied to H1 quota or raise the limit and god knows when did they put the numbers per country GC, before H1b program or after H1b program.
H1b program allowed hundred's of thousands to come in, in fact which they encouraged i can dare to say and GC visa count is not according to that and they let all these families to stay in limbo or wait forever is not a good sign.
Irony is majority of these folks are purposed to solve or improve all kinds of problems ranging from improving enterprise's response time from months to minutes or minutes to secs and other kinds improvements, who's families and them selves stuck in a decade long "legal immigration" battle of their life.

To my surprise my EAD is valid for 2 years.
My PD is Nov 2004 EB2
I140 pending at TSC.
I thought 2 year EAD is only for cases that had approved 140. Is it not the case?
