I just sent my application. I also claimed for 16 points. I have indian BS degree and US MS degree both in CS. Can i anticipate any request for more information from consulate..???
I felt kind of ashmed today after mailing the application. it took me not more than 30 mins in total to finish the application and i was dragging this from almsot 1+ years.
Most of the time things are not as difficult/time consuming as we assume it to be. Lesson learnt...!!!

Its not with AdvanceParole. Because i had I-94 mistake in the past. It may reflect in their systems but USCIS already apporoved my H1b.

We (me, my wife and my son) are submitted 485 applications on July 7th to Nebraska service center latter they transferred to Vermont from there it again transferred to Taxes Service. Unfortunately I forgot to write the amount in wordings in my wife's 485 application check so they rejected my wife's application on Oct 9th, they enclosed the letter to re submit the application by using the new fee. We re submitted on Oct 15th by enclose the two checks $325 and $1010 along with the covering letter and the letter what they are given.
Again they rejected the application in Dec 12th by mentioning Visa number is not available for this application. That time my attorney is not there He went to India so no body inform to me. He came back on Jan 28th we re submitted again by explaining all the details, but they reject on Feb 14th mentioning the same reason Visa Number is not available.
I have seen so many people are got their receipt numbers if they re submitted the application for any mistakes. Me my son got the receipt numbers and Fingerprint every thing.
My Attorney is telling we need to wait for PD current. Mine is PD for EB2 India 6/6.
My wife doesn't get her receipt 485 number I am not able to use my EAD.
Can any body suggest how to approach this case? Or is any one face same issue.

If its rejected due to "missing or incorrect fee" you can send the package back with a special cover letter to by-pass the mail room. The letter has to say something in the lines of: "Attention CRU Supervisor, case improperly rejected due to fee".. search for these in google. You will find a template.
Mine was rejected for the same and Supervisor accepted my refile.

1) I think you can file EAD /AP even if you dont have a AOS receipt. Can someone comment on this?

1. My lawyer clearly said you can't, unless you file it together with AOS.
2. I765 and I131 forms. Everything else has already gone in with the AOS.

I hope it doesn't affect Employee (original labor) who have left GC employer using AC-21 with approved I-140 and after 180 days.
This interpretation is game changer for life of many EB immigrants. It should be implemented for going forward but at least should not affect those who used it by the interpretation of that time.
I think basically it talks about - Same Labor Being Used Twice or more :rolleyes:

My colleague told me that he took only chest X-ray and not done skin test he got his GC.
That could be true in the past. But they have been insisting on the TB skin test since last couple of months. Before I am sure it was not a problem. But since recently they have been sending our RFEs. This is what I read on Murthy.com.

We are actively meeting with lawmakers across Southern California in OC, LA and San Diego. New members, please sign in to our local chapter, details are in my signature. Join in on local lawmakers meetings and help in raising awareness of our issues. Don't worry, his viewership is something like 200k. considering 300 million population of the US, just think what %age of people watch him? i don't think his constant whining makes a diff. Americans are smart enough that these so called news anchors are nothing more than sales/marketing guys employed indrectly by the political parties.
People like Sean Hannity, rush linbaugh constantly bashed Obama (they still do), but how much diff does it make to the american people?
another comparison: people like Dobb and Hanitty make $8-10 million a year, whereas Howard Stern makes $100 million a year. If people took these jokers seriously they would worth much more.

Go for it! She can volunteer (obviously, she cannot get paid for the work she will do). I think it is a great idea to volunteer to establish connections and gain work experience to get ready for a real job.
My wife did the same thing when she was on H-4 and HR had no issues with that.

Anything you will take for your H1 stamping + documents to prove that she is your wife. Her H4 status depends on your H1 status, your relationship and your ability to support her.

This is purley an example of Mailroom confusion.
You may be able to resend it clearly explaining the Mail room error.
It is best to avoid this kind of confusion. This Mail room people are not trained well to calculate or think like you and me are thinking.
You might have seen the cashier at walmart. If you buy worth of 20$ and you give 50$. They need calculator to figure it our how much to return.

Revoking the previously approved I140 doesn't invalidate the H1 extension/transfer. But to get further extensions/transfers, you need A) labor pending for one year OR B) approved I140 from the new employer.

Remember, USCIS only tells us "total" I-485 receipts. They don't break it down to what many of us are interested to know, which is, how many are family based and how many are employment based. There is no way to know how many of the 150K receipts issued in Sept for I-485 were EB.
FB and EB combined annual limit is 366,000 immigrant visas (226K FB + 140K EB)
That total also includes Asylum/refugee, DV lottery and Immediate Relatives.
