When it comes to immigration matters, my mantra is safe than sorry. I would still make the trip to the CBP office and get a date noted on the I-94. This way if you want to extend their stay, etc you will be covered.
I second that statement. Moreover, this gives you the peace of mind knowing that somebody at CBP won't screw up entering the I-94 info when your parents surrender this at the airline or give a hard time for a lack of date on the I-94 when your parents want to travel again.

I am starting a new thread ONLY for people who e-filed I-765 to NSC .
I e-filed at NSC on 14 Apr 2010. Received the receipt on 04/16/10 and had last LUD on 04/20/10. Waiting for approval

I-131 form is used for issuing re-entry permits, refugee travel & advance parole documents.
AOS applicants are issued advance parole document. The biometrics rule is only for those individuals who are issued re-entry & refugee travel documents.

USCIS has issued revised instructions for USCIS Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. The instructions include changes effective March 5, 2008 that require applicants for re-entry permits and refugee travel documents to provide biometrics (e.g., fingerprints and photographs) at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for background and security checks and to meet requirements for secure travel and entry documents containing biometric identifiers.
Q. May an I-131 applicant for a re-entry permit or refugee travel document complete biometrics outside of the United States?
A. Form I-131 instructions provide guidance for certain persons who are abroad at the time of filing to visit a U.S. Embassy or consulate for fingerprinting, although all applicants are urged to file before leaving the United States. Since certain overseas offices have the discretion to accept and adjudicate applications for refugee travel documents, although it is not mandatory that they do so, an applicant for a refugee travel document may complete biometrics outside of the United States, but is encouraged to wait to travel until his or her biometrics have been collected and the document delivered. As discussed earlier, certain overseas USCIS offices may, in their discretion, adjudicate Form I-131 filed for a refugee travel document (but not re-entry permits), where the applicant has failed to apply while in the U.S. (see 8 C.F.R. � 223.2(b)(2)(ii)). However, applicants for refugee travel documents should not count on the overseas offices necessarily agreeing to adjudicate Form I-131 in all cases, particularly where it is evident that the individual could have applied while in the U.S. and attended his or her biometrics appointment. Applicants for reentry permits should attend their biometric appointment at the designated ASC. So if we efile EAD and then 2 months down the line efile AP, do we have to go twice for biometrics ???

No they did not book any charges against me..How could they that? We did nothing illegal. It is just the whole episode took place ..It has shaken me and my family.
I donot know any lawyer.. Moreover, I am not sure whether it is advisable to go to a lawyer or not... not sure how major the issue is for them..
Moreover, will this affect my Green card process if I start suing these govt. people?

If you feel you are offended and religiously hurt you can give a try. Some time back MCD was sued for cooking frys in the same oil where they cook chicken. In this country people will only understand law suite.

While filing for my wife's G-325A form, her last name was filled in first name and first name as last name. We got our FP notice yesterday and thats when I went back and reviewed all the forms I filed. I was wondering if any of you know what can be done so that an honest mistake can be corrected?

I was trying to open a brokerage account with Bank Of America (Merrill Lynch) which was denied as it does not recognize EAD.

Hmm... I didn't know about AIR issues you mentioned.. ;( On PC it works great, and people at Adobe (as I can see on videos) use Mac OS as their primary OS.
AIR on Linux is in beta, and it�s no question why. It�s a second-class citizen.
btw considering Mono... We had an ASP.NET app that had to be ported to Linux.. We did it with Mono, but... there were huge problems with memory leaks.. So colleague had to rewrite it completely in PHP.. So, my (bad) experience tells me not to use .NET on Linux... Perhaps they fixed it though? Ugh, somehow I don't believe that Microsoft cares for any other OS but its own.. ?

My lawyer used a G325-A which was not downloaded from the USCIS website but was a physical form which had 4 pages of the same form in different colors(I think blue,green,yellow and pink).
I filled the first one and it automatically carbon copied it to the other 3.
Has anybody used such a form? and it is o.k to sign the first one and have the other 3 with carbon copy signatures?
Let me know if this is o.k
