My I-140 was filed electronically and then it was transferred over to TSC for processing.
Our company attorney filed my AoS package with NSC based on the job location. Still waiting for the receipts.
Probe:
when did you file your I-140 was it concurrent or filed prior to filing I-485?

Agree with mostly what you have said. Question still remains what causes people not to contribute even 20$ now while in the past they have contributed 50 , 100 or even more. Just something to think about.
I disagree. Changes in laws do not happen overnight and any efforts that core is making cannot be made public all the time. If they can get thousands of people the benefit of moving to EAD etc. then I am sure they are working behind the scenes to get more favorable changes done when the time is right. I have faith in their ability.
Moreover since I am not actively volunteering in any activities the least I can do is contribute. So I call on everyone to contribute for your cause - none of us is doing anyone a favor by contributing. We are DIRECTLY favoring us by making a contribution.

I am quite sure FP is not requested for paper based filing. FP for you is misleading.

In the letter it mentioned I-485. I can't figure out what's going on. Its over 90 days since I filed everything and I thought usually you receive EAD within 90 days.
I was happy as I thought I'll be receive EAD soon since I did FP. Oh Well. I'm currently on H4 and have been out of work since last Dec and its becoming very hard living on one salary.

Also, I just learnt (through this forum) about 'hold'. Senator Sessions had put a 'hold' (a non-written tradition needing consent to raise in the senate) on the Cornyn bill.
Is that only for the lameduck session? Or is it true in general? Can senators put a 'hold' on a matter in any senate session? If that is true, then Senator Sessions can never even let this matter come up in senate in 2007 (and after.)
I guess just a single drop of lime can spoil a litre of milk?

Hey I did 1 year of a PhD paying OUT OF STATE TUTION before I got a waiver with a research group in school. Majority of international students do not get assistantships to go to school. SO THEY PAY TUITION and TAXES after they start to work just like you Mr. GCsucks. You’re taxes go to the war effort and not to fund university research unlike tuition paid by international students. As proof of funds for landing, do we need to carry cashiers-checks etc or just a plain printout of bank-statement (INGDirect) is good enough?

Who said ? Lawsuits will not work. If you guys have any doubts ? Follow the links below, iam gonna paste. It will tell you how powerful lawsuits are in this country if you think you have been fooled over and over on false promises. This is especially true in the case of People whose priority date was current for a long time but still they were made to wait because of unknown reasons by USCIS while the folks who had priority dates as recent as 2006 walked with Green Cards. People especially who fall under this category are sure to succeed only by filing lawsuits. I dont see any other way out here.

Hasnt the issue of processing order been beaten to death?
I understand the momentum here....not trying to rain on a parade or anything...but shouldnt we be a little practical. How long is litigation going to take? Wont only naive lawyers even take this up?
USCIS can always pull the security reason trump card here.
moreover, during the last quarter...in the effort to not waste visas, low hanging easy to approve cases with later priority dates have gotten approved. wudnt u rather have that than visas going waste?
We have been patient for a very long time....lets see how the dates move in the 1st 2 quarters of fiscal 09.
My personal suggestion....stop worrying aout GC...there are much bigger things in life to worry about. :)

Thank you Aman & all the other immigration voice members who have spent so much time, energy and resources in advocating on behalf of all of us. I filed concurrently for I140 and AOS by sending in the application packet today. My lawyer suggested that even though the USCIS receives the packet tomorrow but are not able to receipt it before the 17th they can reject the it. I am a little confused about his advice, can anyone please provide a clue and sooth my nerves? It would be a tremendous obligation.
